Artist's Statement
I have always built my paintings to achieve an equilibrium between color, image and language of purely abstract elements. This is a drawn out process that reconciles a countless succession of collisions and nuanced variations that ultimately resolve to a condensed and clarified amalgamation of all the painterly processes I enjoy so much. As much as I love and respect the act of painting, at the end of the day it is the picture that I am seeking. The image is, I believe, a transcendent pictorial reality, a vision of meaning that speaks without words of a glimpse into the heart of the world.
